Cross Country Making Progress
September 18, 2017
L.A. Mission Women's Cross Country competed in the SoCal Preview Invitational in Santa Clarita, Friday, September 15.
For our lady Eagles, this was the first big meet with 210 athletes in attendance and 24 teams. It was great for the team to take part in such a competitive meet, and the experience will be beneficial during the championships.
The team placed 19th overall with a bold start from Brazilian International student, Natascha Klein. Klein lead the team with a time of 21:55, placing an impressive 47th place out of 210 competing athletes.
"I was excited to compete for the first time! I went out too fast and had to hang on for a solid finish, but I am excited to be competing and also looking forward to managing my pace better," said Klein.
The Eagles have just under two weeks to train and prepare for their next meet.
The team will be traveling to Citrus College, Friday, September 29.
Soar on Eagles!
