Cross Country Competes In First Meet
L.A. Mission Cross Country competed in their first meet, Friday, August 25 in Oxnard.
"It was a great first outing," said head Coach Fedi. "I am pleased with the results from our first race, and the athletes reached the goals they set."
The lady Eagles were able to get a taste of what it feels like to compete, and coach Fedi is excited and hungry for more.
Captain, Kimberly Mejorada, said "We have regrouped, studied our mile splits and pacing and we believe we will only get better as we continue to attend these invitationals."
The next meet for the Eagles is this Friday, September 15, for the Santa Clarita Invitational.
"We have had a few weeks to train, and we have taken advantage of the weather to toughen us up," said assistant Coach Julia Pickslay. "I believe this team is ready to compete, and we look forward to another accomplished outing."
