The Los Angeles Mission College Eagles kept their undefeated streak alive on Saturday night, taking down Cypress College 3–1 (25–17, 25–17, 22–25, 25–18) to improve to 8–0 on the season. Playing their second match of the day, the Eagles showcased depth, composure, and balanced scoring to close out the homestand with another impressive victory.
How It Happened
Mission came out firing in the first two sets, using dominant hitting from Maddie Perry and Tawnie Ohrt to overpower Cypress by identical 25–17 scores. Cypress responded in the third, capitalizing on Eagle errors to edge a 25–22 win and extend the match.
The Eagles, however, left no doubt in the fourth. Behind Perry's hot hand and strong serving from setter Rio Sandaiji, Mission pulled away late to seal the set 25–18 and the match 3–1.
