Melinda Alcantar named to the 2015 All-State Softball Team

The California Community College Fastpitch Coaches Association (3CFCA) is pleased to announce the naming of its 2015 All-State Team.  Melinda Alcantar was one of 36 athletes that were chosen from the state of California.   Alcantar led the state in many offensive categories including a .518 Batting average (9th), .564 On Base Percentage (11th), .964 Sulgging Percentage (7th), 69 RBI (2nd), 9 Homeruns (17th), 108 Total Bases (15th), 19 Doubles (4th) and 4 Sacrifice Flies (5th).  The honorees will be recognized at an awards ceremony during the 2015  California Community College Athletic Association State Softball Championships at Bakersfield College during the weekend of May 15-17^th.  Los Angeles Mission College would like to congratulate Melinda Alcantar for all of her success.  Alcantar prepped at John F. Kennedy High School in Granada Hills, CA.
